1131 Porzia : ウィキペディア英語版
1131 Porzia

1131 Porzia, provisional designation 1929 RO, is an eccentric, stony asteroid and sizable Mars-crosser from the innermost regions of the asteroid belt, about 7 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered by German astronomer Karl Reinmuth at the Heidelberg Observatory on 10 September 1929.〔

The S-type asteroid orbits the Sun at a distance of 1.6–2.9 AU once every 3 years and 4 months (1,215 days). Its orbit shows a high eccentricity of 0.29 and is tilted by 3 degrees to the plane of the ecliptic. It has a rotation period of 4.7 hours.〔〔 The Collaborative Asteroid Lightcurve Link (CALL) assumed an geometric albedo of about 0.20, a common value for stony asteroids with a S-type spectral class.〔
It was named after the wife of Brutus, Porcia, who kills herself at news of her husbands death in Shakespeare's play ''Julius Caesar''.〔
